The main reason being the teenager is lack of maturity, education and finances. She took a big risk knowingly in having sex without protection. And now she is facing the consequences. When the girl’s mother comes to know of her pregnancy, she tries to convince her to have an abortion. As according to her mother it is the best of all the available option to her. Further the mother tries to hide the news of pregnancy from other people in family.

The girl should have thought of consequences before having unprotected sex. Now she should consult who are near and dear to her especially her boyfriend and take a decision, which seem right to her.
The problem in their situation is that the mother is forcing her opinion on her daughter. Instead the mother should be an impartial advisor listing or showing all the pros and cons of her decision and letting her make the final choice. The girl should also seek some professional advice from outside.

According to me, she should have thought through the whole process before having unprotected sex. Now it seems wise to her of she involves her boyfriend in the decision-making.
It seems to me the decision making process is like choosing between devil and deep blue sea. If she chooses abortion then it will leave a life long scare on her, which may or may not heal.

By choosing to keep the child may lead to financial and social problems, as the girl is too young and needs
