Rationale
The intention of the Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan is to enhance the use of technology in the classroom to improve the education that students receive in their learning and communicating. The detail found within the Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan will describe the ability of the teacher to use technology in an effective manner within the classroom while providing a safe, secure, and educational environment for students to learn.

According to professionals Shriner, Clark, Nail, Schlee, and Libler (2010), “abundance of opportunity, given the different education technologies available for classroom implementation but little opportunity and time to learn how to use those technologies in potentially meaningful and powerful ways in the classroom” (p. 3). Aside from difficulties in keeping up with the new technologies, the relationship between teach and student may also be affected. When information technology is used in place of communication, the communication between teacher and student becomes less. The teacher must ensure that even with the use of information technology, communication is still an essential part of the classroom environment.
Wired versus Wireless Technology Access to the Internet can be accomplished though wired or wireless technology. Internet that is achieved through hardwires are known as wired technology and is used most often with desktop computers. Wired technology also means that the access can only be achieved from that one location. Although having wired technology may be more cost effective, the use of wired technology also requires bulky desktop computers that take up space in the classroom and limits the number of computers available within the classroom.
