Explain how own practice can affect the development of children:
My role as a nursery teacher at Zeeba Daycare can have a very big impact on the development of children in my classroom. It is well known that children often observe what others do and many times will imitate actions they have observed, so it is very important that I set a good example and be a good role model as I could set a good foundation for the development of a child’s behaviour and morals. It is important to teach children that all people are important and valuable, no matter what their gender, race, ability or background is and that it is important to respect and support others that are different to us. By following good practice I ensure that children at my nursery are happy and are developing well, I know according to the EYFS where my children will need support and be able to set out a development plan appropriate for each child. Children will grow to be confident to participate in activities and not scared to explore their environments. I will also grow better as a child carer by following our policies and procedures and ensuring that all my children’s needs, including nutritional, cognitive, physical,etc, are met while they are at our nursery throughout the day.

4. Explain how agencies, institutions and services can affect the development of children and young people:
These services are provided by public agencies and private organizations for children who are found to be eligible for these services after a developmental evaluation. There are a lot of interventions that can promote a more positive outcome on a child/young person’s development. The importance on early intervention is vital in the child’s development to enable them to reach their full potential.
