The Fashion Channel (TFC) is a 24*7 cable TV network which is exclusively dedicated to fashion. It was found in 1996 and since then it has been witnessing continuous upswing. According to an annual demographic survey, TFC is having approximately 110 million subscribers of cable & satellite television. But, due to increasing competition with other fashion channels, it is in the need for developing a modern and updated brand strategy.

Fifthly, on the factor that may decide that up to what extent TFC can provide best suitable place on television regarding the fashion information. Last but not the least; Dana should analyze the effectiveness of marketing message and its coverage in comparison to the competitors (Peter & Donnelly, 2002).

Thus, by focusing on the above mention points Dana can successfully work on the loop holes and lay a foundation to future success.

The advantages of the broad based segmentation are that it covers a wide area of population and thus provides huge coverage. In addition to this, it is easy to obtain advantage of economies of scale, scope, and density. On the other hand, its major disadvantage is that all the people are treated equally and as a result there is a lack of availability of customized services. Thus, dissatisfaction among the customers would persist (Stahl, 2007.
