We all have at least one person in our life that is crazy about computers… the sound of the keyboard typing away throughout all hours of the night. With the advanced technology society has brought us, it is a normal occurrence in your typical household. Since the computer has become so accessible to mostly everyone, life has become much easier for humans. What would we do without the Internet? You can find information on any topic you choose, from the click of a button or two, right at your fingertips. You can communicate with others from across the globe, or even look up movie times at your local movie theatre. Maybe you just want to get lost in a good videogame. Some even show their pride for their favorite games by wearing t-shirts and other types of clothing, as well as putting up many posters in their room. Other gamers will use the internet to surf for tips and tricks to make their gaming experience better, or improve their skills with the controller. These individuals are addicted to playing games online, and can be seen staring in front of their computers until the sun comes up. My older sister is a shopping addict. She not only drives to malls every weekend, but also spends her weeknights surfing the Internet for online deals at her favorite stores. The “shoppers” spend their time on eBay watching auctions for days, waiting until the last minutes to outbid everyone else. They surf their favorite store’s online selection of clothing and accessories, shoes, hats, games, and DVDs. Virtually anything you can buy in a store, you can get online. Shoppers stay up late at night just looking for the newest clothes or coolest gadgets out in the market right now. They want to be able to brag about their clothes which no one else has or how cheap they bought it for. They can just sit in their chair for hours and spend their money on everything they would in a store from their own home. Sometimes they don’t have the money on hand to spend right away, so they bookmark their favorite sites, with the plan of revisiting them later.
