Stress Paper
The main stressors in my life are school, and disturbed sleep pattern related to stress and hectic workload. Some common coping mechanisms to relief the stress that I researched and found to be effective, were, deep breathing, yoga, proper nutrition, and time management. These are just a few of the many stress coping mechanisms that I researched and thought they fit best with my active lifestyle, and interests.

I thought that this would fit nicely into my study habits because I often lose focus during study time and during tests so this is a simple thing to help my grades and lessen my stress about school. My other main stressor is a disturbed sleep pattern related to stress and a hectic workload I often lose sleep by either working till late hours of the night, staying up late doing schoolwork, or worrying about school and work causing me not to sleep. One of the coping mechanisms that I found would work for me is eating a balanced diet, which has been shown to lessen stress by giving you more energy and by eating B6 vitamins that release chemicals in the brain that affect happiness (Billingsley et al.). I thought that eating a well balanced diet would work for me because it is something relatively simple that can help me sleep better at night. The last coping mechanism that I found to help with my disturbed sleep pattern was time management it showed how much time was wasted during a day on social interaction and suggested that you keep a time diary so that you knew what you spent the most time on (Hanson et al. 2011). I thought this was a great idea I could see where I could cut out time and where things could be cut completely which would leave more time in the day to get schoolwork and work done so I can get to bed at a reasonable time and so that it wouldn’t be on my
