2.1- Introduction:
Network Techniques is the general name given to certain specific techniques, which can be used for the planning, management and control of projects.
This techniques were devoloped for two different reasons but they were devoloped in the same time during the late1950’s. where the CPM technique was devoloped in the year 1957 by DuPont it was created to manage shutting down a chemical plant for maintenance and then restart it again once the maintenance is done.
As for the PERT method it was devoloped in the year 1958 by Booz, Allen and Hamilton for the U.S. Navy's Polaris project where there were thousands of contractors in that project. This method was devoloped to reduce both time and cost required to finish up this project. example of PERT example of CPM

2.2- Critical Path Method (CPM): as mentioned before this technique was created in the late 1950’s in the year 1957 to be more spacific. It was created with a joint effort between DuPont Company and Remington Rand Univac.
