The American political system is made up of primarily two parties, Democrats and Republicans. These parties go against each-other for many political positions, such as presidency. Each supports and opposes different issues. The Democratic Party supports a bigger government and believes the government should guide the people. They are known as Liberals because typically they like change. The Republican Party supports a smaller government and believes the people should guide the government. They are known as Conservatives because they are in favor of the core laws of this country. Some people do not consider themselves Democratic or Republican. Although a strong military government is important, the government should not spend more on destruction of others than on the citizens they govern. High taxes and unknown government spending will not help our economy grow; instead, it will hurt the economic status of many people. In this case, I agree with the Democratic Party. The right to private property is controversial between the two major parties. The main question is: should the government have a right to a citizen’s private property. The Democratic Party believes that the government has the right to regulate the use of one’s property without giving just compensation to owners. To insure the proper usage of private property, they believe the government must be the actual custodian of the property. Basically what you think is yours is actually loaned to you from your government and may be recalled at any time. Democrats believe all property should be shared equally among the people. The Republican Party supports the right to private property. They believe your property is yours and you have the basic right to make use of it without unreasonable government restrictions. They tend to follow the Bible, which points out that if your house, car, or anything of value is in any way associated with a crime, then it must be given to the government. Republicans believe
