Family Analysis Project
Introduction
I selected the family of A.G which is based on personal acquaintance for this project. I will complete a comprehensive analysis using the criteria that I will be describing in details in the proceeding paragraphs. These criteria includes description of the nuclear family form, sociocultural data, genogram and Ecomap, environment, communication, power structure, role structure, values, spiritual activities, socialization, adaptation and healthcare. Once assessment is complete, the nursing care plan will be utilized and interventions can be addressed.

They will sometimes go to the movie theater together. A.G has the 24 hours fitness club membership. The children also enjoys being around their grandmother. As part of her child rearing practices, Angie does not spank her children but disciplines her children by preventing them from playing video games and surfing the web whenever they did not complete their assigned chores.

Adaptation/Role conflicts - the main role conflict is that of a single parent household. Finance, job stability, childcare, health insurance and after school activities also poses great challenge for this family.

Coping strategies- A.G sometimes goes for a walk with her children and the extracurricular activities. A.G encourages her children to be open in discussing their issues with her and their counselors at school.

Belief regarding Health/Illness

The family of A.G’s stated that they feel health is important and they always try to live healthy lives. Neither of the family members have ever being hospitalized.

Recommendations Parenting, cooping and family process nursing diagnosis - provided the mother with information of community resources for single parents.
