Roberto Cavalli has for his new collection for autumn/winter this year reinvented prints and shapes to give new energy in his youthful line in an attempt to flirt with the new generation of globe-trotters. Other designers participating at the Milan fashion week presented more outgoing and daring collections on the second day of 2013-14 autumn and winter shows, as a reaction on the political and economic situation in Italy.

The collection which was in typical Cavalli style with eye-catching glitter and sequins was all priced under 120 dollars.
Roberto Cavalli says: “I love Target. I love Australia. And more than I love Target and Australia, I love the Australian woman because she give me the chance and the possibility to create such a special collection,” Cavalli told BAZAAR when he was in Sydney for the launch.
The collaboration in similar to the collection he made for H&M, although Cavalli felt more comfortable at first to make collaboration with European retailers since he believed the market knew him better in Europe. Despite this he rapidly changed his mind when the collection for target hit the stores and sold well, he now understood that “Women are now international. What they love in London is what they love in New York, and for sure they´d love this in Australia.”
To get inspiration and to get to know the Australian women Cavalli spend a lot of time Sydney and enjoying the nightlife to spot the women of the city and the country. He loves the idea of creating accessible clothing for all the women around the world who loves his clothing. The typical flower and animal print has a given point in the collection for Target.
