1.Synopsis

The Marina bay Sands was opened on the 17th February 2011 developed by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation and designed by Moshe Safdie and associations. Built on reclaimed land the hotel overlooks view of the city as well as the sea. Offering guest’s convention and exhibition facilities, shopping, theater entertainment, restaurants, bars, accommodation and not stop, casino and gaming. Not only did the Project boost Singapore’s economy and tourism but has also created an attraction and entertainment destination for locals.

The permanent exhibition “A Journey Through Creativity” (http://www.marinabaysands.com/) exploring art and science, which creates objects that, transform our world. This is an experience to take visitors inside the creative process across three unique spaces: Curiosity, Inspiration and Expression.

3.4 Entertainment and attractions
SkyPark

The sands SkyPark features a 150metre meter infinity swimming pool, which is the longest elevated swimming pool in the world. Located at the SkyPark rooftop are restaurants such as The Sky on 57, a celebrity chef restaurant, nightclub KU DÉ TA and lush gardens along with hundreds of lush gardens and planted greenery. A public observation deck on the cantilever has 360-degrees views of the Singapore skyline.

250 trees and 650 plants offer a total of 12,400 square meters of space is enough to fit three football fields. The SkyPark stretches longer than the Eiffel tower laid down with 12,400 square meters of space, the Sands SkyPark can host up to 3900 people. (http://www.designboom.com/)

Casino
The casino block along side the theater and convention and exhibition facilities have up to 1000 gaming tables and 1400 slot machines all available 24 hours 7 days.

Sands Theater
The Sands Theatre and Grand Theatre seat over 1900 people and 2200 people respectively. The Broadway musical The Lion King is the resident show at the sands theater.
