Abortion: Pro-Life or Pro-Choice

In the argument of abortion, there are many sides to be seen. There's the pro-life side, which is the side that is against abortion. The next is the pro-choice side, which is the side that supports abortion. The two rival sides of this topic have a strong fire burning between them, making this one of the biggest political and moral debates of my lifetime. Whichever side you stand on, there are good arguments on either side. I personally am pro-choice. But look at the facts and see which side fits best. Pro-life is a term that describes the perspectives and activist movements against bioethics, which is the study of biological science and medicine. In the days when women were purely around to bear the children and raise the family, abortion would not seem as large of a topic, however being that women now have the employment opportunities and other advancements that before were only allowed to men, abortion is a much more pertinent subject. I am pro-choice because even though I do not believe that abortions should be used as a form of birth control, I believe that having the option there is very important. In the case of rape or incest, it is especially important to have the option. Why would one want to bring a child into the world that is a constant reminder of the pain and trauma you had to endure? In the case of incest alone, there are many chances that the child would come out severely deformed because of the crime committed and I certainly would want to prevent any poor conditions that the child would have to live with. If, in the future, we are able to regulate the fertility cycle more accurately then perhaps abortion would not be needed. I do not see abortion as a way to suddenly change your mind, but a way to decide if the conception happened because of unforeseen circumstances. There are several questions one must ask themselves before making a decision on which side to take. One would be how you feel about the conception. Does the conception guarantee life?
