This semester I have experience many live musical performances. Some of these performances have let me down but for the most part, these performances have been everything I ever expected. My two favorite performances this semester were Festival Vallenato and Ultra Music Festival. Although these two types of music are different in every way possible, the people and the performers are exactly where I feel I am in the right place.
Both of these events were held in Bayfront Park. This is a very famous location to host events like Festival Vallenato and Ultra Music Festival. Bayfront Park is located 301 north Biscayne Boulevard Miami, Florida. This park is home to events year round.

Mr. Dangond Corrales is a Colombian Vallenato singer, composer and Timbales player. Dangond is considered one of the main representatives of the more modern Vallenato musicians.
Felipe Pelaez was born February 7, 1979 in Maicao, La Guajira. Pelaez is considered one of the greatest composers that Colombia has today. He was born in a family of artistic tradition with great music features
Festival Vallenato has everything ranging from amazing artists to great people and terrific food. Everyone in this festival respects the performers, drinks responsibly and is amazingly cordial. I felt at home when I was in this festival and I am sure everyone else did too. Everyone is welcoming and they all seem to be carefree about anything other but having a good time and listen to their favorite music.
Ultra Music Festival is incredibly wild and exotic. Last month on May 23, May 24, and May 25 my girlfriend, my friends, and everyone who is crazy in Miami survived three days where for twelve hours there was nothing but hardcore partying. People from all over the world traveled to this 3 day event. Ultra Music Festival, also known as UMF is one of the most widely known house music concerts in the world.
House music is a genre of electronic dance music that first came about in Chicago, Illinois in the early 1980s. It was first made popular in the mid-1980s clubs for African-Americans and Latino Americans in Chicago. House music then spread to other places such as New York
