1.3 PLACE OF ATTACHMENT
The 4 months Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) which is a requirement for the completion of my course of study, Computer Science, was undertaken at a branch station of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). The Organization has Zonal Stations in Abuja, Enugu, Kaduna, Lagos and Ibadan. My station (Amuludun 99.1 FM, Moniya Ibadan), happens to be one of the branches of Ibadan National Station located at Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe Ibadan. Amuludun 99.1 FM station broadcasts in pure and undiluted Yoruba and it’s made up of seven departments, namely: Programmes, News, Administration, ICT/Engineering, Accounts and Audit. Each of these departments is headed by Principal Grade Officers and above. However, all the departments come under the supervision of the General Manager (GM). I was an Industrial Attaché (IT) at the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) / Engineering Department.
