I have a five year old that went to school for the first time this year. I was very nervious about sending her because I had always been with her. I worked at the daycare she attended and I knew her teachers on a personal level. It was very hard for me to let her go and be a "big" girl. Her teacher helped a great deal. She reassured me that she would be fine with both her kind words and her actions. Just by watching her with the children and seeing how they responded to her helped me by letting me know my daughter was going to be fine. I appreciate her teacher for the love and care she has given my daughter. She also keeps me informed as best she can about how my daughter is doing. Another thing I truly appreciate is that she always makes time for me when I need to discuss something.
