i was a former student at Karcher in Burlington WI and i have to talk about the school's lunch program. first off when the lunch bell rings there are 624 students in the halls at the same time which 300 of them are headed to the cafeteria. let me tell you IT IS A MESS there are big kids who rush to the front of this lunch line and don't Care one bit about who get's in there way. if you are ever the first kid in the line God Help You. i had to stand off to the side all of the time because the big kids would plow you over. that is why 5 min before the lunch bell rings teachers get the special need kids through the line before the croud comes rushing in. Another thing that this school is lacking is the size of the lunch room. i still try to figure out how they pack 300 kids into that thing. you get out of the line and you try to fing a spot and there arn't any. almost all of the spots have been taken. if you don't have any friends or have very few then you better start making some because they can save you a spot in the lunch room. Another thing is because the lunch room is so small the line for lunch gets strung out all around the lunch room. so when people in the lunch line get into a fight you better hope it is not by your lunch table. another thing is when you make 300 kids stand around for 20 min at most in that lunch line they start a MOSH PIT!! now i don't know if you are fermiller what a "MOSH PIT" is so i will tell you it is when everybody starts throwing there bodies around and hitting random people for no reason. if you go to that school a MOSH PIT happent about 3 times a year. Over all on a scale of 1 to 10 i would rate this school a 6. by the way the school's Sport's are Excelent tony romo graduated from this school he is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

Karcher has many difficulties with the order of meal time. Many rowdy students especially the larger eight grade class come into the too small facility every day. Students and faculty have found that there is a lack of space in the Karcher cafeteria. Our small cafeteria is packed wall to wall with circular tables seating a limit set at 6 people per table. Most likely our seating arrangement violates some fire safty regulations. Its difficult to find chair to sit in in our lunch room. That is most likey due to out large class sizes. We have two lunch periods and most students stay inside at lunch. Becasue no students may leave the lunch room besides going outside the cafeteria is easily over stuffed and under equipped with chairs and tables.
Food is satisfactory but their arnt many healthy choices. Aramark who does food for Karcher makes yummy meals, yet many students plead for more vegetarian alternatives for meaty meals.
I think Karcher needs a school news paper written by the students for the students also!!!
