My child spent kindergarten at Westbrook Elementary. The classroom was chaotic and unstructured. The teacher did not have control of the class. There were so many students with so many different needs, ranging from Autism spectrum disorder to health issues to being unprepared to be in school, that the teacher could not focus on teaching and preparing those students who were prepared and ready to learn. A bully situation came up near the end of the year, and school administration failed to even address the perpetrators. My child was threatened to be beaten up, and the school psychologist simply said, "Kids will be kids; they don't know they're being mean when they say things like that." I beg to differ. We have left that school, gladly, and would not recommend it to anyone.
