I am the parent of a 3rd grade student that briefly attended South coalfield, against my wishes my daughter missed 141 days of school last year 07-08, I became aware that she had missed 90 days in December or jan of this year, I was in disbelief and made daily contact with the school for the remainder of the school year, My daughter resides with her mother in clearfield not more than mile from the school and she is not sick and was not being home schooled, after more than 100 phone calls to the school district,including chief personnel THE SCHOOL DISTRICT is now finally pursing educational neglect, my child is more than 2 years behind all other third grade students and i was assured by the director of admissions and director of the schools, that all home schooling privileges would be denied, I was lied two and my child has been approved for home schooling once again due to the massive lack of effort by the district, Through this entire ordeal, the so called Principal has never once contacted me, only the vice principal and directors. do you trust your children in such inadequate hands?????????????
