My 6 year old grandaughter ,just started riding the bus 2 days ago ,whom goes to south knoll elementary school in cs texas.My daughter was having to go out of town for one week for school ,and i have no car [jynesis s grandmother].I do however live in the same apartment complex that jynesis waters [my grandaughter ]lives in.
the understanding of the very first day of transportation and the school was jynesis would be dropped off at 3;15 first student to be dropped off on the end of swpky and potomac street.
I waited 45 minutes for my grandaughter ,called the school ,they told me that they had made a mistake the bus driver did that is....and she is on her way home.well after anotehr 20 minutes her bus finnaly made it here ,i was so worried about my grandaughter.
then the next morning -the 2nd day my daughter was waiting for the bus for jynesis to get on the bus ,and the bus driver did not look at his schedule,and did not pick up my grandaughter.
now remind you i had already talked to the bus driver ,the school contacts-mary jane,and deanna whom told me that this would not happen again and that jynesis would be dropped off at the mailboxes in front of my apartment which is 1809-D potomac.I even talked to transportation about this and the major problems in the very beginning of riding the bus.I explained to every contact that many regular size buses come through this culdesac street and drop off students and pick them up in the mornings.we have even had 18 wheelers with their loads make this turn on our culdesac street.
well I called the school this morning to inform the school that i would have a doctors appnt at 3;00 today but my mother that is unable to walk will be here for jynesis ,I told the school to make sure she is dropped off at the mailboxes in front of my house.the school assured me that nothing would go wrong this time and jynesis would be dropped off at the mailboxes as she is suppose to be at 6 years old so she is safe.
well as i am at my doctors appnt ,my mother calls me and tells me that jyn was dropped off again at the busy street of southwest parkway .Im very upset over this horible neglect ,my daughter had to pay for the bus so she can go out of town for next week ,and im under doctors care ,i need my grandaughter to be picked up in front of her apartment and dropped off at my apartment ,not on a busy street that any one could pick her up .like i said my neighbor has been riding the bus ,he is riding a regular size bus and he is dropped off at his apartment not on southwest parkway ,plus there is another student from south knoll that is dropped off at his grandmothers apartment ,not on swpky .there has been alot of crime on this street lately ,alot of drug bust ,and i want my grandaughter jynesis waters treated safe and equal as others that ride and pay for the bus.
south knol school is suppose to be a responsible and good school ,but now im wondering if this is true.Im a very upset grandmother ,and her mother is upset also.Kaye Rasler,Jaime Waters,
