Mrs.Raymond was the best teacher I had ever had and I thank her for pushing me hard during school so I can improve.

It is sad to see the two other comments about E.H. Cary as this was a great school in the 60s. Not doubting the comments, just look at the area. However, sad sad things and a sorry state of education being offered in inter-city schools.

Many years had passed when I found myself at home with 4 children and no education. I had tried many times before to go back to school but there was always something standing in my way. We had recently moved to the Taylor area in 1998 and I was looking for a program for my children when I came across the Even Start number, When Scholly told me about the program I finally had no more excuses why I shouldn't finish what I had started. This school and everyone that worked with me made me feel...
I was not too pleased with the office staff, never friendly or informative. The school is not very culturally accepting unless you are hispanic. Had several issues with my children being called racist names and the issued not addressed. I feel like the teachers have good intentions with getting the children their education, but there are way tooooo many students and too little time. I am looking for other options for my children's education.
