I have a son at orms and overall the school is great and the principal truly is doing a fabulous job. One teacher that my son had for science, Jill Schumate, is terrible/crazy! Schumate alleged that my son disrupted her class and then on further investigation I learned that Schumate occused several other students of the same offense. New Caney Elementary is such a wonderful school! Me and my children absolutely love all of the teachers, staff and especially Mrs. Thomas! You couldn't ask for anyone better that could share the lives of your children.

As a parent and having had my older child attend a different elementary school, I feel that Mcauliffe has a lot of room for improvement. They seem to lack organization and consistency. The faculty is often very hard to get a hold of which is very frustrating. The front office staff is also not knowledgable as to how to properly run and maintain a professional setting.
