Test scores and rankings come before the individual student's best interests. The school did prepare me well for standardized tests by teaching to the test. The administration and teacher's policies and standards make it difficult for those who did not take the same series of courses in middle school. The social groups are rigid. The school has a science and math focus and pursues these courses at the expense of the humanities. This school is an excellent school only if one moves in before high school. I feel that Lexington, White Knoll and AC Flora Highs have a better all-around education, with more emphasis on students and overall education instead of AP tests and more value given to the humanities.
