I thoroughly agree with Kimberly. Blackrock has always had a good reputation, but the administration needs to immediately address the problem with having someone greet these young kindergarten children at the door when they get off the bus. Let's not wait for something bad to happen before we resolve this issue. I feel that someone (a teacher/aide) should have been there to greet and guide these children as they got off the bus. Remember, this is all new to these little innocent children! Thanks for listening. I am a very concerned grandmother.

As a parent of a child just entering kindergarten this week, I am very concerned about the current lack of supervision outside the school in the morning. When the kindergarten students get off the bus there is no one there to guide them to their classrooms. The principal is there intermittently to assist but I feel there should be a designated person for this job. My son is still not secure about where he needs to go and this is causing him stress about taking the bus to school. (I actually followed his bus today to make sure he got into the building ok.) The chaos is a bit much for a 5 year old who has never taken a bus and is also in a completely new environment. Aside from this issue, he LOVES kindergarten!! Thank you.

Generally i am very happy with the school.....the people there are a little more down to earth then the school my kids came from, they are a little more laid back then the militant way the other school was ran. the teachers are great, my kids have responded well to them and the move to the new school. the only problem i have is the lack of organization they have when you drop and pick kids up, its is total chaos and no help what so ever to parents who drop their kids off, you cant get them to the door with out getting looked at funny or told not drive by the area where you can watch them get to the door, and picking up is even crazier. i think they just need to work out a schedule for buses, and the kids who ride home, my kids have been to 3 schools their life, pre-k , Washington oak, and this one, and the other two schools had the same routine; buses, cars and walkers and it all went smoothly. this is the only issue i have with the school, other then that, the school is a pleasure to deal with and they have given my kids a great learning environment and experiences, as they grow with the school, i look forward to happy times. Thank you, Kimberly
