I was a student from 1958 -1961 a 3 year program. We had to live in the dorms and could not be married. We had to walk or get a ride with someone that had a car to W&J College. That was rain,shine or snow. Also walking from the dorm to the hospital.
We did 4 months each on Pedis, OB/GYN, Psyc, Med/Surg, Surg plus a shorter time in the ER,Home Health,special diet kitchen,and Xrays.
It sure was a different time. But my training has carried me around the world doing Volunter Red Cross Nursing. Working in different hospitals in the States. My Husband and I spent 27 years in the Air Force with 21 moves.
I would love to do my school of nursing over again. It is and has always been my passion. Judith Dean Farrington Class of 1961
