Educational Mission
The Practical Nursing Program and the Hazleton Area School District/Hazleton Area Career Center share in a commitment to providing an educational program that is responsive to an identified set of professional nursing standards which include the nursing standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA). Nursing faculty believe that the programs course of study facilitates acquiring those values, attitudes, skills and knowledge needed for nursing practice. Since 1969, the Program has incorporated nursing standards to guide program development. These standards reflect a strong commitment to service within the nursing profession.
