SOUTH MOUNTAIN MIDDLE SCHOOL (SMMS) AND/OR SOUTH MAOUNTAIN JR. HIGH. IT'S NOT JUST A SCHOOL. IT'S A SECOND HOME. THE TEACHERS ARE GREAT, THE STUDENTS ARE GREAT AND THE STAFF IS GREAT. SMMS IS THE HOME OF EVENTS SUCH AS: CONSERTS, TALENT SHOW'S, GAME,FAMILY FUN NIGHTS, PEP-RALLY'S, SPORT TEAMS AND ACTIVITIES. THE MOUNTANIER REPRESENTS OUR SCHOOL. ALSO THE COLORS GREEN AND WHITE. THOSE ARE OUR SCHOOL'S SPIRIT COLORS. ALL 6TH, 7TH AND 8TH GRADE ATTEND MIDDLE SCHOOLS LIKE SMMS, BUT THEY'LL NEVER...
Citizens School Of Nursing - New Kensington - Submitted by: Tracy Im a: Former Student Date: 20/04/2010
I would like to just say, that because of this school, I have had a great beginning to my nursing career. There was so much care and concern for all the students to "get it right", that you knew that you could not fail. From all the instructors in theory, and in clinical. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have to such a committed school. Kudos to all the staff that took me in, loved, nurtured, and gave me all the tools that I needed to become a wonderful nurse.
Gideon Edward Elementary School - Philadelphia - Submitted by: T. Victoria Im a: Parent Date: 28/01/2010
I was pleasantly surprised when my son came to Gideon. It was bright, cheery and clean. The Principal, Ms. Hendricks seems to be on point. The Administrative Assistant is very professional and on top of school issues/projects, etc. Ms. Burns, one of the third grade teachers is a magnificent classroom manager. My son tells me that she has a way of looking at math that is very cool. The school lunches and breakfasts still leave a lot to be desired . . .but all in all a really good school
