Recently I had an opportunity to talk to Mrs Gardners class first graders about communications and languages, this was truly a new and rewarding experience for me, I shared about the different ways we get to communicate through the spoken word, through posture or expressions, different languages, sports, art and music. I was able to bring some props stones, music, hand made African toys. All the kids were wide eyed with ready hands raised to ask questions. I had a chance to observe as an outsider while at the school the organized learning going on everywhere, I observed lots of structure new updated equipment teachers and students working together towards a common goal, Education in a safe environment. Today I received handmade thank you cards which opened my heart. Thank You Class, Thank you Teachers.
