AS A PARENT WITH 2 STUDENTS THAT HAVE HAD SPECIAL NEEDS I HIGHLY DISAGREE WITH CYNTHIA'S ASSESSMENT TO LISBON SCHOOL SYSTEM.. IF YOUR CHILD WAS LEFT BEHIND.. MAYBE THE PARENTS NEED TO BE MORE INVOLVED IN THEIR CHILD'S EDUCATION...MY CHILDREN WERE AFFORDED THE SAME PROGRAMS THAT ALL STUDENTS ARE OFFERED.. WE ONLY HAD TO ASK FOR IT... MY CHILDREN HAVE GREATLY BENEFITTED
FROM THE PROGRAMS OFFERED.

I do not see that Lisbon David Anderson High School has much concern over the needs of their students. If the student is easily educated as my first three were, they dom fine. However, if the student is more difficult they will fall further and further behind in their education and possibly never graduate because the staff never takes a step to assist in getting the child into the special needs classes they deserve and that the State of Ohio pays for. Dispite my atttempts to get my youngest child help, his needs have been literally ignored. I have requested meetings, which when they are held, are held without my knowledge or input. Very poor system of Education. What ever happened to no child left behind, because mine certainly is.
