I went to upson in 2nd grade back in 05,and the school seemed like it was falling apart. I was always getting in fights(it sometimes happens when your the one of the white kids)so my mom went up there to talk with the principal about how i was being treated and what not,anyway he said that "he had bigger fish to frye". He said he has to worry about 5th graders running around with guns and knifes,when the 2nd graders were doing pretty much the same thing! Now i havnt been to upson in a few years,but i highly recomend that you should not send your kids there!

I have to say as a former 5th grade student that Upson Elementary School is not one of the best schools to go to. I say this because when I was there last year, there were so many fights, lunch aids (this would be considered as Support Staff) were just out of control like this one lunch lady . Oh my gosh she cursed at my class, hit a few students, and she was just terrible! Of course my clas and I did the right thing. we got her fired. But other than that, the teachers were nice and/or mean at certain times. One of the special education teachers smoked, yelled at students so loud that you could hear it maybe 3 or 4 classrooms down. I have to say that school was not the best for me at all.
