This is more of a comment than a review. There is a teacher at the school named Mrs Baker who thinks she can pick and choose who should conform to her standards. It all started over a shirt that she does not like although other students wear the very same type of shirts she chooses to stereotype one child because she doesn't like his hair or his clothes so she picks him out of class to make an example of him.She says his shirt is not school appropriate.Well I cant keep up with what is [school] appropriate.Last year his shirt was offensive this year it is not [school] appropriate.as far as I know it is because the shirt has a picture of a skull on it, even though a student in the same class can wear a shirt with a picture of the grimm reaper about to kill somebody on it.Every time he wears his shirt she sends him to the office disrupting his education. NO other teacher has a problem with his shirt. Some even like it.She has even asked him if he was goth. Although he is not goth, I think that is not an appropriate question. He is an A and B student and very respectful of others because that is the way he is raised. I send him to school to be educated I will teach him morals and respect that is not the schools job.Their dress code is to vague so they can pick and choose who they want to say is inappropriate.I have told them how to fix the problem by going to uniforms or change the dress code to say no writing or pictures on clothes. That is a rule that is easy to understand and easy for everyone to comply with yet they choose to leave it open to interpretation so they can pick and choose who they want.I dont know what offends everybody because what offends one person does not offend others.I believe that to offend someone there has to be intent. My child does not try to offend anyone he just wants to be himself and wear his shirt.I feel this is an example of politically correct gotten out of hand.I am sorry if people are so sensitive that their feelings get hurt but it is impossible to please everybody all of the time.I think something needs to be done about the dress code and Mrs. Baker.Until people stand up nothing is going to be done.Mrs. Baker is a chorus teacher and she once told a student that she was a worthless singer and she should not come to a concert. The parents had to be involved and they removed her from the class.A letter similar to this but more detailed has been sent to the school board, Ohio department of education and the A.C.L.U.If you have any questions or comments please feel free to call me at the number below.I will not quit until this problem is resolved,I sure could use your support.
Thank you very much
