I was a student at Glenwood from 1958-65 (left 7&8 for catholic school). I was in the old building as well as the new. I remember being in Mrs. Lawrence's room in the old builing, in the basement. Every time there was a fire drill we had to climb out the window to clear the building. I was a crossing guard for 1 yr. (6th). I remember every teacher I had from kindergarten to sixth grade. I remember going to the "milk machine" to get milk for our snack every morning. VERY AWESOME childhood in...
I remember the good old days in the early 60's. I remember Mrs. Brenforter, the principal at the time. Mr. Roach, Chuck Peterson. I was there when the old school was around, then they tore it down and rebuilt the newer school which recently was torn down. I had good times there, had some friends. Karl Witmer, Darla Harris, Gary Canada etc... I was there from 1961-1969. Janet Amid

My son attends Hale Road and this is his first year at this school, we relocated from Chicago to Painesville and all I can say is that Hale Road is a family oriented school. The staff is so wonderful and show so much compassion to everyone that this made myself as well as my son feel comfortable. I would advise that if you have to relocate your child to another school or if this will be your childs first year of school then all I have to say is look no further if you slide across Hale Road!...
