i love all of the teachers and my friends
I moved from Lancaster in '79 to Tucson AZ. Some of my best memories are from this school. I hope they kept the same image I remember. Is Mrs.Sarcowsky still around. A lot of years have passed but it wouldnt surprise me. LOL
I went to upson in 2nd grade back in 05,and the school seemed like it was falling apart. I was always getting in fights(it sometimes happens when your the one of the white kids)so my mom went up there to talk with the principal about how i was being treated and what not, anyway he said that "he had bigger fish to frye". He said he has to worry about 5th graders running around with guns and knifes, when the 2nd graders were doing pretty much the same thing! Now i havnt been to upson in a few...
I moved to Glenwood in Dec, 1965. Fond memories. I'm a public school teacher. That foundation was laid at Glenwood.I didtinctly remember the strong male influence. Mr. Tucker, Mr. Griffith, Robert Jackson, T. Creekmore, C. Peterson. The neighborhood school was an awesome environment for community involvement.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Staton. She was was my teacher in 3rd & 4th grades. I still miss her & I wish I could tell her how much she changed my life. I remember she lived in beavercreek because she invited the class out to her house for a swimming pool party once. I truly loved her.
