I also went to Joseph H Wade, Some of the teachers were Great! With a real sense of mission. There was MR Chet Richter, Mr John Goldman and Mr Marshall who later became dean. My time with Mr Marshall was in History class. Mr Marshall was one of the first Black men to Join the U.S.M.C. and was trained on a different area other then Parris Is. Because of his color. I'd love to see him today to thank him.

I went to Wade back in the 70's and have several teachers that made an impact: My Richter, Mr Area, Mr Stone, the shop teacher escape my memory, Mr Goldman and Mr Travers. I have been trying for year to find Mr Travers without success. If any one knows where he can be located, please forward that info to:Jorgegibson@netzero.com. One love to my fellow classmates.

I loved JHS 117. I bused to school, it was an adventure! The chorus (which I was in) was the greatest. I wish I had a tape, or video of that performance. Mr. Arena (who was the music teacher at the time) was magnificent! I have very fond memories of that school, the kids were very fast and crazy, but we had loads of fun!!!! I wonder if they have archives of past performances??? I would love to have it>>>>

This was at one time a wonderful school, even though Lee Harvey Oswald attended Wade in the 1950's. Check out the warren commision report. Oswalt the bronx years

I attended Wade from 1983-1985 and I can't say I have very fond memories. The kids (myself included) were disrespectful and out of control. I sympathize with the staff who tried their best to rein in those trouble makers but it was a no win situation. I hope the next generation of students are much better than we were back then.

I attended Wade from September 1960 to june 1963--there were lots of roughnecks in the school. The teachers tried to guide us in the right direction but there were too many troublemakers in the school even during this time. After school activities were almost non existant.
