well, the school sure looks different then when I went there. I enjoyed viewing the site and was wondering if you had an alumni list from the sixties. I represented La Mesa at the state spelling bee in 1966. good memories

I choose to attend SOW because I was able to go to school half a day and work the other half, and still get full school credit. That was very cool to me. The class number was very small but the teachers hearts were BIG. I am grateful to them all. I was also in Student Con. Yes, we too had a prom night. I wore a white dress that my older sister made me. It's so smart to have schools that give alternatives to students who are seeking more. Some students are mature enough and desire to move on...

mrs perez is the nictest princible in all elementry schools she works very hard and is very nice to the students and teachers she spends alot of money on the kids who make thier reading goal she is a fare princible and i will remember you forever i will miss you so so so so so so so so so so so so much when i leave to go to zia from clarissa ornelas 5th garde mrs.franklin's class loves you very very very very much

I made the mistake of going to this school in 2006. During my 852.5 hours there, I never touched hair color or any other chemicals. And, even though we had nail tech students, I was given nothing but pedicures. There was no education provided there. They would show you a movie, then have you recreate what the movie showed. That is not how you teach people to become successful hairstylists. When I decided to leave that school, they charged me $2500 to release my hours to the Texas...
