I am the grandfather of Zachary Peronilla who just graduated kindergarten in Miss Donohue's class at Redwood Elemntary School in West Orange. I dropped off and picked up Zach most of the time during the school year and had the opportunity to witness how Miss Donohue and the other Kindergarten teachers interacted with the children before, during and after classes. But I am writing this review to commend Miss Donohue specifically. I will be 70 years old and put two children through St. Joseph School, Seton Hall Prep and Mt. St. Dominic High Schools and University of Scranton for college. So one can say that I have been around when it comes to the subject of education. Based on the constant feedback from Zach and my own experience, there is no hesitation on my part in commending Miss Donohue as the BEST teacher I have ever had the privilege of meeting. And this includes my own, from grade school through graduate school for my PhD in Computer Science.
It is quite obvious how she loves the children and how dedicated she is to give them the best of what she has in educating and nurturing them. To Principal Kivlon, congratulations for running Redwood as an excellent school, and how lucky we all are for having Miss Donohue and other like her as valuable assets of this institution.
