I am the student's grandmother who he lives with. I picked the closes relation to the list you have for Subject review. I am very disappointed when a school encourages bullying and protects the bullier from punishment in the school. My grandson goes to Skyview (I am ashamed to admit it)and we are now in the process of transferring him to Senior. Reasons: stalking by another student; harassment by several member of the freshman's football team with no consequences and is given encouragement to continue their ways by the management and staff member. This encourages the continued bullying actions of the students. I feel these young men should be required to give up something very important to them, all sports for the rest of the 2009-2010 school year. That is the only way to get the students attention and keep it. If nothing is done about these students the school is just encouraging them to continue in their bullying ways. I see signs about no tolerance for bullies but word are word if no actions is behind it. Soon hopefully my grandson will be out of the school and out of the dangerous situation he has been put in because we seem to have no leadership in this school. I know the parents of my grandson has gone to the school and talked to the principal and councilor of the school and it is like talking to the dead. I am putting the school on notice as of today that my family will hold the school and administrators responsible for the actions of the stalker and several bullies in the fresman football team. If anything happens to my grandson before, during or after school from the time he leaves my home to the times he enters my home Skyview school IS responsible for the actions of their students. Especially since they were informed several times of the situation and refused out right to take charge and stop the stalking and bullying. I have talked to other parents from Skyview and found out that they have broken up eight of YOUR freshman football players trying to beat up one freshman student(my grandson). One of these parents drove my grandson home to get him away from the bullies. Yet all I am hearing from the people who are suppose to have control is disrespect for the mother and father of this young boy. I also know that you were given a list of the boys involved in the bullying and when my daughter and grandson was leaving the room, the list was crumpled up and tossed in the garbage. Very professional isn't it? School Safety is a joke at Skyview. It shouldn't be but it shows that at Skyview management does not care and encourages the action of some students.I have been in safety for 20 years and if I was to act like management at Skyview I would be fired immediately and I would deserve it. Think about it.
