Mrs. Burris has taken a school with a staff of caring teachers and a great school community and turned it into an environment I would not suggest you subject your child to. She has run off several great teachers and often acts in an unproffesional manner (for example, telling a parent in a meeting that this school district does not recognize learning disabilities as a reason to make accomodations). For a long time I had nothing but regrets in attending Moss Point High School. Now being an adult I see the advantages of Moss Point. This school helped open my eyes, where in any other case they would have been closed. It taught me to see no color or race, and that each person is an individual and is only acting out from past experiences. Also, for a long time I believed it was the teachers' fault that I did not receive the adequate education. However, now I see things from the other side...
