Taxpayers in Minnesota Paying For An Islamic School?

On March 9, 2008, A Star Tribune.com columnist, Katherine Kersten, asked if the taxpayers in Minnesota were paying for an Islamic School.
She was reporting about the Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA), which is supposedly a charter school. By law, a charter school is a public school and cannot endorse or promote religion.

The teachers are awesome and the school is fun and safe to be in not to mention it is a very high ranked magnet school.

I really like how the school is right now. I really miss Jackson Magnet Elementary a lot!! I moved to a different school when I was in 2nd grade.. I left all my friends and for 3 years i appear talking to them and writing emails to them and I was very happy about it.... I hope I will get to visit one day... Right now I'm in 5th grade at Lino Lakes Elementary... I still want to learn Hmong ELL too..... i really want to come back someday.....So hope u write back sometime!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll come...
I had a home situation, and all the people at the school were very supportive. They treated me with respect and listened. They were available to my needs and helped all the ways they could. They were discreet and helpfull.
