Attended 2 meetings. As a new parent of the school I felt like my present and anyone else who attended was of no help and was told that the only way I could help or give some suggestions on fundraisers was to become a member. At my child's previous school, the entire pto (all parents of children attending)had the right to vote and the right to give suggestions that were voted on by the entire PTO.This is a very unfriendly feeling, expecially to the new parents of this school. What a shame. A PTO is suppose to be for the good of our children not for self gratification.Hopefully this year will bring more parents who also think the same way and maybe we can all work together.One can only hope.
