Have any of you parents ever had your child questioned in the Principle's office - in front of another child and that child's parents - without your being present or being contacted first?
Please post your response.

I am writing to comment on the posts before me. The other Mrs. R teacher is Mrs. Rabaut. I am a former student but I never had Mrs. Rabaut as a teacher, so I can not vouch for her. As for Mrs. Richards, she is a wonderful teacher. Both my brother and sister had her, and even I was a kindergarten helper for her in 6th grade. She is the best kindergarten teacher I have met, and I sincerely hope the parent below is not talking about her. She would never do that, and I only have wonderful things to say about her.

Im writing to comment on the first comment about Mr. Richards. I would be the first to say that she is an AMAZING and caring teacher. I had Mr. Richards as a teacher in kindergarten, now I am 23 years old and she still remembers me. My baby sister had her 5 years ago when she entered Paun and it was amazing how she still remembered and would recall stories of my kindergarten years. She was great with my little sister and she still, to this day, goes and spends time with her during lunch or after school while shes waiting to be picked up. To have someone accuse a teacher of her status and ability of such a crime is hurtful. You might want to reevaluate your sons story as he is more than likely to be mistaken. Little kids tend to tell stories for attention and I don't think you son is an exception. As a former student of hers, Id have to say shes great and I loved her, as does my baby sister.

I am writing to comment on the previous post. I assume the Ms.R the parent is talking about is Ms.Richards. My daughter had her last year and I am not calling this parent a liar but Ms.Richards was a wonderful teacher. My daughter absoulutely loved her and Ms. Richards even kept in contact through out the summer. I have nothing but praise for her!

My son attended Max Paun elementry, for a few months last year. My son and I, both agree, that this has been the worst school that he has ever attended. I came home one evening, to find my son, sitting in the dark, sobbing uncontrollaby. When I asked him, what was wrong, he replied, that Mrs.R , humilliated him, in front of the entire class, by calling him retarded. I confronted the teacher, but out course, she took the cowardly way out, and lied. The principle, and the school's superintendant, bothed sided with her. They basically brushed my sons' complaint off. My son, is doing a lot better, in his new school, although he is seeking counseling, for the emotional turmoil, that this idiotic teacher, and students have once bestowed on him. I'm currently, in the process of requesting documentation, regarding the student's statements, and working with the Department of Civil Rights, and an attorney, to assist me, in gaining some justice, and peace of mind for my son.
