When I attended Murray-Wright, it still had vocational programs (e.g. nursing, auto mechanics, cosmotology, food service, etc.) It had thee finest certified nursing programs in the state. My entire senior year, I was able to work two weeks in a hospital and go to school for two weeks. The valuable experience and skills I gleaned from that is priceless. Students would most certainly benefit from such a program today. I sincerely appreciate every teacher and staff person that touched my life in a positive manner there.

I was among the first class to attend the school after its being built in the mid 60's.Never had a chance to return to the school after graduation ,but it will always remain special to me.I will always remember Mr Tatum the music teacher.
