As a graduate when times were different, I am happy to have visited my alma mater on Tuesday March 31, 2009. I missed the 150th Anniversary Celebration. That was my fault, not theirs. As an old Trail Blazer, I was recalling having walked into Central
September 1953 and found a three story building. From a small town in Northwest Oklahoma, I had never been in a three story building before that day. When I look back and see that among the 3,500 or so students at Central I was favored with a full page in the 1954 Yearbook. Can you imagine that? FULL PAGE! I learned about economics from Gordon Minton and about competing from Coach Harold. I know my life is richer for having been a graduate of Central. From the scholarly endeavors involving other students I came to understand capital punishment and universal health care. I have not had to wonder how I felt or what I believed about these issues since 1954. I am a Trail Blazer, to the bone!!!

hi. my name is keinesha thomas of the graduating class of 2006. my experiences at central high was the best years of my life. if i could i would do it all the same way. lol... what i enjoyed most was being apart of the detroit central high school marching band. it is led by the astonishing MR. HERBERT NICHOLSON. he has taught me so much. basically the band was my second family. if you don't know by now, our creditials speak for itself. we are indeed the "BEST BAND IN THE LAND!!!" i hope all of the current and future students of detroit central high school have a perfect experience as i have. god bless....."class of 2006" :-)
