I have been a member of the community since my children began going to school. For being affiliated with the local civilian town school, I don't understand why our school is in such poor condition. Not only do we have to take donations from other schools for our meals, but our class rooms have broken ceilings that don’t seem to be a concern to them. Along with this, every summer our children are sitting in an rooms without air-conditioning that makes it challenging to dress them considering the dress code. Your child is lucky if they have a fan in the room that the teacher was nice enough to provide. So if our building alone is in such disarray this makes me concerned about the academics being taught; do they have enough and current means to educate our youth?
Living on a military establishment you are use to making do with what your given. But if we are considered part of the local community why do we have a school that looks like we are hurting for funds?
All I am saying you are lucky if you are able to send your children elsewhere like a private school. That way by the time child moves on to high school (which by the way is out in the civilian local community) your child is able to compete right along with the other students versus struggling with keeping up academically.
