THE CLASSROOM
I recently had the pleasure of visiting my daughter Hannah Gomez's school for the first time this past Wednesday, October 24th. Upon arrival I was greated by a lovely woman who signed me in and directed me toward Hannah's classroom.
Hannah and I looked at projects that they had made. Her CLASSROOM was very nice and I was impressed with the ciriculum, computers that were available and the fact that my daughter enjoys learning, her teacher and classmates.
THE CAFETERIA
We attended lunch, which was nice. The CAFETERIA is well organized, the staff friendly and the children participate with tasks that they are assigned; Handing out paper towels for after washing hands and passing out the untencils on the way to the lunch line. This impressed me as it shows that this school is aware that children as young as 7 need to learn leadership, and responsibility.
THE PLAYGROUND FACILITIES
We also spent recess it was nice to see Hannah and her friends play so well together. The playground does not have a lot fancy equipment. However, I spoke with someone on the PTA Board and she said that they are in the process of raising money for a new playground. I'm sure they will love this but at the same time I found that the kids had just as much fun running around playing tag.
PYSICAL EDUCATION
I was impressed that children at such a young age are encourged to excersise. The P.E. Teacher was very nice and interacted wonderfully with the children.
I am sorry to say that I did not have time to see the library one of my favorite places nor meet the principal. However, I plan to do this in the near future.
OVERALL REVIEW
I would have to say that my experience at Jefferson Terrace was very pleasant and informative.
