I just graduated in 2008, from Doug. I missed Doug so much i left once before due to the hurricane and i couldn't wait to rekindle, assuming nothing had changed. Those teachers, those office workers, those students all a part of my safety net very community oriented. Until arriving back to Doug it was an old friend i had hardly recognized those teachers had vanished accept maybe less than 5, those students displaced, those office workers were no more and those people were apart of my safety...
1967 was a good year.
My family rates Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School as a FIVE STAR institution of learning. Straight A's for the fabulous environment for our children. Most of the credit belongs to the super-excellent principal, Albert Hardison. He is absolutely the best, and models the example of what he expects from the students and staff. He has created a learning environment where nothing but excellence is acceptable, where being the best and doing the best is not only a way of life, but is celebrated...
I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD NOT CHARGE STUDENTS FOR OVERDUE BOOKS.
I am a Grandparent and I think the school worries too much about dress code violations than they do about education. They play favorites and let one child get away with things that another child is punished for.
