Mr. Anderson has been principal for the past eleven years. He will be retiring after the 2008 - 2009 school year. Ten years ago he introduced and proposed a complete change in how reading was being taught. A transformation took place in his school. Teachers and support staff were open to the idea of adopting a researched based reading program. Success For All was put into place. Test scores began to rise. At present they are at 81% of primary students reading on grade level. Today there continues to be a conserted effort by all to provide a high level of best practice use in instructional strategies in all content areas.
