The wood shop insructor was instrumental in my career choice and was a recurring source of good advice in my early years and I will always remember him as a rock for me to lean on and talk to and just generally connect with a outstanding person.

Mrs. Austin and Mrs. Hazleton work very hard to make this school a place of learning and growing for students. Like any school, some of the students face challenges from outside the school environment. Parents and Guardians need to step up and help improve attendance, discipline, and scholastic issues. I think moonlight is a wonderful school. My son has done nothing but excell in every aspect, thanks to the wonderful teachers. He loves going to school. They have a great care for their students, their number one concern is not getting money due to testscores like another school in town(Madison elementary). Overall this is the best school I have sent my son to yet.
The student-teacher ratio at Quincy Elementary is lower as there aren't as many students as the average school so they get more one on one time with the teachers. I feel safe having my daughter in the school because it's in a decent neighborhood and the doors are locked from the outside so not just anyone can walk in. They have a good variety of lunches so they are not just the boring old "yuck I don't want that for lunch." meal.
This school has an excellent principal who has been there since it opened, over ten years ago. He greets every child by name every morning outside and maintains a very orderly, but caring environment. Most of our six teachers we've had so far, have been extremely interested in our child's growth, communicated with us beyond the normal expectations, and maintain enthusiasm for the immense demands on them to often overachieve every year. We have felt very fortunate to belong to this community!
