My two children and my step child all attended grantline elementary as did my husband and his siblings and relatives. It really is a great school. The teachers are great, they all have their own way of teaching and it seems to work. My children were always honor roll students. The office staff is amoung the best, especially mrs. millie and mrs. virginia. we love grantline and we were sad that we had to move on to the middle schools. grantline is one of the best in my opinion. parent teacher communications work both ways.

Both of my children have attended Grantline Elementary and I have to say that I am not very impressed. I do not have a choice where I send my child because I live in this district. The interaction with the teachers is not very good. I feel like parents have to bend over backwards to work with the teachers schedule, not the other way around. I do not get regular feedback and when I request a parent meeting it seems that I have to take off of work because the teacher is too busy to meet in the evenings. It is very difficult when you are a working busy parent to keep up to date on everything that is going on in your childs classroom. I feel that my children have slipped through the cracks and the no child left behind act is a big joke!

Due to the recent closing of Lillian Emery Elementary (which was closed for performance issues--no child left behind act) they have recently transferred these problem students to Grant Line Elem and all other schools in the county. The result is that the teachers must dumb down their curriculum to teach these students who failed to learn at LEE school. The result is that Grantline is not what it used to be. The teaching quality has suffered so much that I hardly recognize this school any longer.

My daughter has attended Grantline Elementary School for the past two years. I cannot dote enough on the excellent staff, facility, and the structure of the program the school offers to this community. I feel lucky to have my daughter in a school where the teachers gives 100% involvment from all learning aspects to each pupil in his/her classroom. Go Yellow Jackets!!! Keep up the great work!!!

The teachers at GLS, are very nice, and you can tell that they care about you and your children. You can see that they value safety at Grantline, since they hire responsible, and respectable teachers. Principal, Leland Lang, is an amazing person and is always organized, as a principal should be. All of the staff at Grantline Elementary School are always ready and willing to help anyone out, any time!!!
