I was a student at Franklin Community High School (FCHS) many years ago: the school is very different today. Franklin used to be a cozy, farm community and FCHS had a great Future Farmers of America (FFA) program. Over the years, Franklin has lost it's small town charm and FCHS is no longer popular for the FFA program. FCHS built a new gigantic beautiful school on the southern part of the city; however, the charm was lost along the way (not to mention my property taxes doubled.)Some children have learning and emotional disabilities: FCHS does not seem to understand or have tangible programs to handle these issues; and, according to my children most teachers don't seem to care. If you have exceptional or gifted children that won't cause problems or need extra attention, care, or guidance then FCHS is for you.
