The playground facilities are not conducive to the age group being represented at this school.I am not sure where thier funding goes, but it is clear it is not going into these children or to the betterment of the school.

I am very displeased at the unlawful acts that has taken place at this school. My child recently received an incomplete, incomprehensible report card last quarter in which I declined my signature until I further investigated. I met with the principle and the teachers to discuss the report card in question only to find that both teachers had manipulated the grades. One teacher didn't bother reporting some of the grades due to what she called "not enough time". I thought this to be unexceptable and unbeleivable. The principal seemed as surprised as I was. Even though the grades were ammended, I can't help but to wonder what other kids are receiving inappropriate grades due to lack of concern and incompetence. My child asked for help on a previous assignment on the last day of school and was told by the teacher, "I'm done, get out". I fear my child attending next year.

I won't commment for all teachers at Kennedy elementary school, however, a few have shown themselves to be unprofessional, incompetent and untrustworthy. My childs rights were violated when I reported to the principal that his teacher was showing a PG-13 movie not yet on DVD yet to a underage class, my son being one of them. The teacher after being reprimended went and announced to the class that my son't mother was the one who told the principal about this illegal and indescent act. My privacy was violated as a parent, because the principal should not have disclosed my name to the staff. I am disgusted with district 170 and how they handle matters and children.
